There are several known patterns which can cause high CPU for processes running in SQL Server, including: Query executing causing high CPU System tasks are consuming CPU Excessive Compilation and Recompilation of each query you see there having high values, copy it to query analyser, use the Query -> Show Execution Plan (checked), and run the query. Use Perfmon to look at how much memory SQL Server is actually using. Or is it just a little peak in the line chart?
The point with running CHECKDB is to see if it reveals any corruption errors.
