Microsoft Security Essentials has some good signatures ,however due to the dynamic way in which malware appears and spreads it's not very efficient in stopping very new infections. Even Microsoft Says You Should Use Something Else Still not convinced that you should look for a third-party security suite? I am not saying AVG is malware, but by bundling software that I did not request -- sounds like malware, too me.
