Roman Comment 29 Roman Valls 2009-03-17 04:43:26 UTC Created attachment 20566 [details] kernel 2.6.15 sample .config Kernel config used to test sata_sx4 v0.8 with kernel 220.127.116.11. With as many people having similar problems, I'm sure that the Fedora Development Team will have it fixed relatively soon. Any ideas? As well, please do not announce in this report you created a new bug report. The linux pre-compiled drivers obviously do not work on newer kernels/distros. This problem meaning a three-minute boot-up delay followed by missing ide entries in /dev.

One major difference I can tell, is that in this kernel the ide disks are still seen as hdx, where in the not functioning kernels they are also converted to sdx. Failed To Set Xfermode Err_mask 0x1 For right now i guess I just have to switch back to Winblows to do any cd burning I need done (I'm running a dual boot hard drive). Comment 16 Tejun Heo 2009-02-25 16:38:12 UTC Roman, what do you mean by setting xfermode manually? If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora please change the 'version' of this bug.
Instruction unclear. leonardevens29th November 2007, 03:40 AMI should have reported that my ata.o1 problem went away when the kernel was upgraded in a routine update. THANK YOU! :) LPNow (lpnow) wrote on 2015-02-10: #27 By the way, for testing Trim support, just get this script below, and run it, it's a lot simpler to use, instead Comment 22 Roman Valls 2009-03-09 09:46:15 UTC I've just tried what Thomas suggested with latest 18.104.22.168 kernel using init=/bin/bash & sata_sx4 compiled-in instead of module and it does not work either

well, so far, by "process of elimination" if everything worked before the (kernel) upgrade and now NO?, then as rare as I've seen in arch, there could be a kernel blip commit 19799bfc5da476ad72eecc5f0f9018c5d351cbd5 Author: David Milburn
This is a change from previous releases. If reproducible, the next step is to fully commit bisect from kernel 3.12 to 3.13 in order to identify the last good kernel commit, followed immediately by the first bad one. rweiler29th November 2007, 12:15 AMI'm having a similar problem on Fedora 8 and filed a bug, 397191.
